The TriForm BodyShape Scanner from Wicks and Wilson is designed to capture the human body in three dimensions. The TriBody software makes capturing 360 degree, full-colour or mono 3D images a straightforward process.
The whole body is captured in under ten seconds and a 3D point cloud is processed and displayed in under one minute. The curtained booth provides privacy for the person being scanned who will ideally be wearing light, form fitting clothing, or underwear.
Stripes of normal white light are used to capture the 3D shape of the person. The light is harmless and contains no invisible rays, lasers or other radiation. The resulting images are analysed automatically by the TriBody software and processed to produce a three dimensional point cloud containing approximately 1.5 million coordinate points.
Resulting 3D scans can be saved in different output file formats, ready for use in third party software packages for viewing, analysis or manipulation.
