The DRS5000 is an easy to use microfilm reader/scanner with optional attachments for roll microfilm, microfiche and aperture cards. With its low price and a very small foot print the DRS5000 Microfilm Reader/Scanner brings affordable, compact digital microfilm options to every microfilm media user. The DRS5000 is user friendly making it well suited for public use at campuses, archives and libraries.

A single USB 2.0 connection to a computer supplies power and data line to the DRS5000. This allows researchers to easily scroll through microfilm or microfiche; zoom out for a full page or zoom in for enlarged detail. A single press of a button will capture the image instantly making it immediately available to save, print or transfer with multiple saving options such as CD or a USB portable device.

With a wide variety of simple interchangeable carriers the DRS5000 will accept 16/35mm roll film, microfiche or microfilm in 3M style cartridges, and opaque cards. The single high quality, adjustable lens provides full-color magnification between 7x and 48x.

• Image Quality - 3.6 Mega-pixel image quality provides superior quality digital image coversion of film-based and opaque micro media for viewing, printing and distrubuting.
• Multi-format versatility - Provides the flexiblity of viewing both negative and positive images on film-based media. The hand-guided carrier is standard for viewing microfiche, jackets, opaque micro or aperture cards; optional configurations accomodate 16mm and 35 mm roll film, 3M cartridges and ANSI cartridges as well.
• Kiosk Software - Can be password enabled for secure computing operations.
• Zoom, Crop and Rotate Images - Once an image is on-screen, you can zoom into specific areas of an image, or crop any portion of the image. Manual image rotation is available for viewing cine- format images. Zoomed or cropped images can be saved or printed.
• Save images in Familiar Formats Images can be saved in common Bitmap, JPEG, or TIFF file formats.
• Compatability - DRS 5000 can be used with a great range of PCs.
