Description

The RS-Series from Wicks and Wilson is a range of high volume production scanners for digitising roll microfilm. The combination of speed, image quality and simple to use software interfacec provides a powerful scanning tool to meet the demands of production digital conversion.

Key Features

• Graphical wizards provide a quick and easy way to configure detection and sizing parameters on the scanner.
• Automatic frame detection using image edge (leading/tralling, normal/ inverse), blip code (up to four levels) or a combination of both.
• Automatic extraction of images using fixed page size or auto-cropping of variable sized documents.
• Job Setup creates a unique store of all batch scanning parameters, easily retrieved at a later date.
• Smartscan, the Wicks and Wilson designed 12 bit image processing system for microfilm, provides real time control of on-board advanced imaging tools for both bitonal and 256-level greyscale imaging.
• Fully-featured production tools provide automatic deskew (greyscale and bitonal, rotation, cropping and logging capabilities.
• Dual save increases productivity for poor quality film by simultaneously creating a high-quality greyscale duplicate of the bitonal data.
• Duplex film captured in a single pass with fully configurable detection, sizing and naming options. Imaging parameters set independently for upper and lower frames, giving the best results from varying quality film.
• Continuous data output produces contiguous files, with or without gaps, enabling uninterrupted data to be created for offline processing.
